How Is Life Treated In Society Today?

I just saw a Facebook post of a mother and father losing their twins at 18 weeks’ gestation.  This news breaks my heart, as it probably does yours. Some, on the other hand, don’t seem to value life in the womb, and think of those precious babies as only blobs of tissue.  Where do you stand?

Brian Westbrook, Executive Director of Coalition for Life St. Louis, joins me to discuss life.

Carson of Trinity Evangelical School of Deerfield IL says, “With the simplicity and engaging charm of the Peter Rabbit stories, yet with the quiet grace of Christian insight, these stories stamp themselves on young minds. More For Mom

For working moms, there are performance pressures that affect a mom’s ability to feel complete and live more closely aligned with God. In More for Mom: Living Your Whole and Holy Life, Kristin Funston encourages women to stop believing the lie that more is needed from them and start living with the truth that more is available for them.

A Special Diagnosis

Persons with disabilities are so often overlooked, and devalued.  Wait until you hear Mary Suzanne’s story!  Her passion and outrage after hearing a story on the news about Down syndrome children compelled her and her daughters to travel to Iceland to take a stand.

The Disconnected Man

You long for connection. Your man struggles with emotional connection. You sometimes think he has no emotions – and no desire for you.

Men, you have no idea what she’s asking for. You think she’s too sensitive, demanding, and sometimes crazy. It Hurts. You know you love her but have no way to tell her in a way she understands.

Jim Turner was once in your shoes. He discovered late in life that there is no replacement for connection – true connections with God and man. Jim learned the hard way, but you don’t have to. Once God showed him how to change he realized he had to share it.

Surrendered; Letting Go and Living Like Jesus

If COVID-19 has taught us anything so far, it’s that we are not in control. When life gets hard, aspects of the future are uncertain, and we’re at the mercy of other’s decisions, we want more power over the situation. However, those are precisely the times when we need to learn how to surrender, just like Jesus did. In her book, “Surrendered: Letting Go & Living Like Jesus,” Barb Roose leads readers in a study of Jesus in the wilderness to show that when our need to fix things takes over, that’s when we need to embrace God’s plans rather than our own.
